I want to attend college but can not afford it, so I decieded to try to get a grant. I wrote a grant proposal but, with so many agencies how do I find the right one(s) to send it to?

You are putting the horse wayyyy before the cart.

First, you find a grant you want to apply for and THEN do the necessary paperwork. If you are wanting to apply for a grant to go to college, you do not need to do a "proposal" you need to fill out a fafsa at http://fafsa.ed.gov

Most grant "proposals" are for people to do things in the community like start a nutrition awareness program in the area or aid other social service agencies in the area.

I have recently become involved with a no-kill animal shelter and am trying to find some sample grants to help me write a few for our org. Have you ever written a grant for an animal welfare org? Would you be willing to share a sample of your grant with me?

When you say a grant, do you mean a grant application? Or will you be offering funding?

Here are instructions and an application form from a real institution:

and other resources that might be useful:

Good luck!
