Non Profit Grant Blog

Everything about finding grants and how to write grant proposals that are effective.

I need to write a grant proposal to be able to get the money to take my research to the next step. I think I know the basic elements of the proposal, but I don't know how to start, or how to put it together. I'm feeling a little lost.
The guidelines (for this particular grant) state that it should not be more than 3 pages long.

Your proposal should follow a good format, and be easy to read and navigate. I would recommend the following format:

I. Title Page (Proposal Name, author, organization, date)

II. Table of Contents

III. Executive Summary (short and sweet, no more than one page summary of the entire project/proposal)

IV. Introduction

V. Situation Analysis

VI. Description of the Project/Research

VII. Deliverables

IIX. Budget

IX. Appendix (letters of support, research, etc.)
